CUET ORIENTATION PROGRAMME (FOR TDC AND FYUG STUDENTS, GMCB)

The Enrolment Task Force jointly with the IQAC and Career Counselling Cell of Govt. Model College Borkhola organized a CUET Orientation Programme for the FYUG and TDC students of the college at its Digital Classroom on 18^th March, 2025. The event began at 1.30pm with the welcome address by the coordinator of Enrolment Task Force, Dr. Suroshikha Debnath. She highlighted the details and background of the CUET PG Exam. It was followed by the address of the Academic Coordinator, Dr. Baharul Alom Laskar who mainly stressed on the importance of competitive exams for the students. Then, the Assistant Professors of different departments—Dr. Suroshikha Debnath (English), Dr. Madhumita Ghosh (Head, Bengali), Dr. Baharul Alom Laskar (Economics), Dr. Rupashree Paul (Head, Education), Dr. Mofidur Rahman (Head, Pol. Science and Coordinator IQAC) and Dr. Joydeep Goswami (Head, Sociology) made deliberations on the syllabus, previous year question papers, materials of CUET of their respective subjects. The Librarian of the college Dr. Rajesh Chutia also delivered an insightful speech on preparations related to PG course in Library Science and the available digital materials for the same. The concluding part of the event included a question answer session with the students where they clarified many of their queries. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Madhumita Ghosh, Head, Dept. of Bengali and coordinator,Career Counselling Cell. The overall session turned out to be very informative and engaging for all the students.
