Department of Economics

The Department of Economics of Govt. Model College, Borkhola began its journey in the year 2020. The department has been laying special emphasis on developing proper understanding of the Economics subject and its various socio-economic issues to develop human resources in reality. The teaching-learning process of the department is designed in such a way that it is empathetic towards the slow learners while giving due attention to the advance learners. The academic activities of the department comprise of class room teaching-learning with the help of modern techniques and tools, field visit to collect data on various socio-economic issues, debates, seminars etc. The departmental faculties are currently involved in teaching at the Degree level in the Pass course under CBCS curriculum of Assam University, Silchar and Higher Secondary level under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).
