ANNUAL CULTURAL PROGRAMME, GOVT. MODEL COLLEGE, BORKHOLA

The Annual Cultural Programme of Govt. Model College, Borkhola, Cachar was organised by the Cultural Affairs Committee jointly with Women’s Cell, Students’ Welfare Committee and Media and Publicity Cell of the college on 18th January, 2025 in the college campus. The event began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. Baharul Alom Laskar, Academic Coordinator, Govt. Model College, Borkhola followed by a collective Rabindra sangeet by the students of fourth semester. The programme coordinator Dr. Rupashree Paul then delivered the welcome address where she highlighted the importance of culture in student life. Thereafter, the joint coordinator Dr. Suroshikha Debnath gave a briefing on the Art, Craft and Food Exhibition organized by the students with great effort. The Academic coordinator and IQAC Coordinator then inaugurated the Exhibition corner. The students displayed beautiful handmade posters, handicrafts and homemade food items in the exhibition and they sale most of the items . They even made good profit by selling the same. It manifested the theme of ‘vocal for local’. The cultural programme was resumed side by side with a number of songs, dramas and dance performances by students of different classes. The Academic Coordinator Dr. Baharul Alom Laskar and the IQAC coordinator Dr. Mofidur Rahman also delivered valuable lectures. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks by joint coordinator Miss Dikhya Dey.
