Department of Bengali
The Department of Bengali, Govt. Model College, Borkhola, was started in the same year 2020 along with the establishment of the parent college. The Department of Bengali at present aims at reviving the cultural and linguistic competence of the students in Bengali both at Higher Secondary and Degree levels. Through the continuous dedication of the teachers, stress is given on educating the students Bengali literature and language with special attention given to the history of the language. The pedagogical method is based on efficient system of lectures, assignments, seminars and project papers.
Vision and Mission
· To develop the literary sensitivity of the students towards Bengali language and literature.
· To trace the history and development of Bengali, one of the oldest literatures and language-based subject.
· To work for cultural progress of the Bengalis through literary vision and consciousness.
· To develop creativity in the minds of the students within the framework of Bengali writings.
